Punta Gorda has historically been known for its attractive canal communities of Punta Gorda Isles (PGI) and Burnt Store Isles (BSI). These canal communities boast some of SW Florida’s best boating from homes built on nearly 60 miles of salt water canals and roughly 120 miles of seawall (which is maintained by the City of Punta Gorda).
